Save the Date! Join us July 22-24, 2025, in the stunning Twin Ports of Wisconsin and Superior!
Discover Wisconsin is an unforgettable 3-day, 2-night travel adventure designed for 5th-8th graders to explore the wonders of our beautiful state. This educational journey dives into the culture, history, and charm of Wisconsin’s unique communities—and sometimes ventures even beyond our borders! Along the way, you’ll grow as a leader, experience new cultures, and gain independence through hands-on learning and statewide exploration.
For older youth in grades 9-13, there’s an exciting opportunity to step up as a Youth Discover Guide. In this leadership role, you’ll help plan and lead these adventures, building valuable skills in organization, teamwork, and mentorship.
Through Discover Wisconsin, participants expand their knowledge of Wisconsin’s history and culture, develop leadership abilities, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and others. Best of all, you’ll return ready to share your amazing experiences with your club and county!

Support for Your 4-H Journey: Financial Assistance Available
In 4-H, we believe that every member should have the opportunity to fully participate, regardless of financial circumstances. The 4-H Funding Request Form is here to help you secure financial support for your projects, activities, or events. Because of the Chippewa County 4-H Leaders Association, and county fundraising efforts, we are able to offset the cost of your experience.
By completing this form, you can explain how the funding will support your 4-H goals and personal growth. Financial assistance is available to ensure that no member is left out due to cost. We’re committed to making 4-H accessible and affordable for everyone. This information will only be reviewed by 4-H Youth Development Staff and will remain confidential.
Leadership Team Opportunities
Youth Discover Guide
In addition to youth participants, we are seeking youth leaders in 9th-12th grade. If you love traveling, leading, and want to grow as a leader, apply now to be a Youth Discover Guide.
New this year, we’re excited to introduce a team of 4-6 older youth to serve as Discover Guides, previously known as Junior Counselors. This role is open to youth in 9th grade and up, with preference given to those who have previously participated in the experience.
Discover Guides play a special role in this experience. They are trusted leaders who support, plan, and lead the Discover Wisconsin travel experience, with the help of the 4-H Youth Development Staff and chaperones.
