Who’s Been Here?

Family Nature Program

Join us for a fun and educational program designed especially for families and kids! Ever wonder what kinds of animals roam in Lake Wissota State Park when you’re not looking? Learn how to be a wildlife detective by examining the clues they leave behind—especially scat (that’s animal poop!).

We’ll explore:
🦝 Scat Facts – What can animal droppings tell us about who’s been around and what they’ve been eating?
🧩 Hands-On Learning – To help us identify common local wildlife, we’ll use realistic plastic scat models and field guides.

After the program, head out on your own adventure to see if you can spot signs of the animals who call the park home!

When: Saturday, July 12 at 10 a.m.

Where: Lake Wissota State Park Nature Center

Who: Best for families with children ages 5–12, but all are welcome!

A vehicle admission sticker is required for Lake Wissota State Park.
