4-H at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair
Chippewa County 4-H members are invited to exhibit at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair as part of an approved youth organization. Our role at the fair focuses on education and outreach—creating meaningful experiences for youth and the community.
It’s important to note that the Northern Wisconsin State Fair is responsible for all fair administration and logistics. This includes registration inquiries, the exhibitor guide, animal stalling and show day coordination, judging, weigh-ins, tickets, parking, volunteers and staff, vendors, carnival entertainment, main stage events, facilities (bathrooms, garbage), the Meat Animal Program and auction, Fairest of the Fair program, security, legal matters, insurance, and overall fair operations.
Meanwhile, Chippewa County 4-H leads several key initiatives at the fair, including:
- The 4-H Snack Bar
- FAME Stage performances in Youth Building
- Information Booth & Education Station
- Goosechase Scavenger Hunt
- 4-H Banners and Theme Days
- Cloverbud Stuffed Animal Show
- The 4-H Sensory Garden
- Community Youth Invite to Fair
