Travel beyond your hometown and experience Wisconsin through hands-on educational activities, community visits, cultural exploration, and leadership development. Destinations and activities vary each year.

Registration Information

Registration Information

Registration is completed through 4-HOnline. Log in to your family account and look for the event under “Register a Member in an Event.”

How to Register

  1. Log in at COMING SOON.
  2. Select COMING SOON and choose Register.
  3. Complete the event questions and review your registration.
  4. Submit payment according to the instructions provided.
  5. Complete and return any required health or permission forms by the stated deadline.

Important Information

  • This experience is open to youth in grades 5–8, based on grade level at the start of the program year.
  • Space is limited. Registration is not complete until all required information and payment have been received.
  • If your child has dietary needs, allergies, medication requirements, accessibility needs, or other accommodations, notify the 4-H office as soon as possible.
  • Participants are expected to follow the Wisconsin 4-H Code of Conduct. Failure to meet these expectations may result in a participant being sent home at the family’s expense.

Financial Assistance

We believe every 4-H member should have the opportunity to participate, regardless of financial circumstances. Funding may be available for projects, activities, and events through the Chippewa County 4-H Leaders Association and county fundraising efforts.

Complete the 4-H Funding Request Form to request assistance and explain how it supports your 4-H goals. Information is confidential and reviewed only by 4-H Youth Development staff.

Youth Discover Guides

Youth in grades 9–13 are invited to apply for 1–2 Youth Discover Guide positions. These youth leaders help plan and lead the experience alongside 4-H staff and chaperones. Previous Discover Wisconsin participants receive preference.

Discover Guides are expected to:

  • Welcome and encourage participants
  • Take initiative and solve problems
  • Put youth needs first
  • Limit cell phone use
  • Serve as positive role models
  • Represent Wisconsin 4-H
  • Collaborate with staff, chaperones, and fellow Guides
  • Participate in planning and onsite programming

Adult Advisors

Adult advisors support youth leaders, model positive behavior, and assist 4-H staff and the planning team with program implementation. They may also lead educational activities with youth and other adults.

Requirements: Review the Discover Wisconsin Adult Advisor Position Description.
