Wisconsin 4-H Scholarships

The Wisconsin 4-H Positive Youth Development will award more than $20,000 in scholarships to outstanding Wisconsin 4-H members and alumni pursuing higher education in 2026.  To be considered for financial support, applications will open January 1, 2026, and must be received by the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation via email by Friday, March 1, 2026, 11:59 pm. Chippewa County 4-H Forestry Scholarship

The Chippewa County 4-H Forestry Committee offers a one-time $400 scholarship to graduating 4-H members. Scholarships will be available during the 2nd semester of the 1st year of postsecondary education.  Proof of enrollment in any short-course or second semester is necessary during their second semester.  Applicants can earn the scholarship one (1) time. 

The 4-H Forestry Committee has the final say on all applications. Return applications by May 1 to: 4-H Forest Committee, c/o Extension Chippewa County, Courthouse, Room 013, 711 N Bridge Street, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.

Chippewa County 4-H Shooting Sports Scholarship

Given in memory of those 4-H youth who were involved in a Shooting Sports discipline and are no longer with us.  The applicant must be enrolled in a Chippewa County 4-H club during their senior year to be eligible to apply.  The applicant must be registered in a shooting sports discipline during their senior year to be eligible to apply.  The applicant’s name must appear on all required pages of the application.  The application form must be filled out completely and include required attachments to be reviewed for consideration.  The $250 is non-renewable.

Application must be submitted in typed form.  Completed application, including all required attachments, must be postmarked by June 1 and returned to: 4-H Shooting Sports Scholarship Committee, c/o Extension Chippewa County, Courthouse, Room 13, 711 N Bridge Street, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.

Scholarship winner(s) will be announced at the awards ceremony held the summer.  Scholarships will be disbursed during Second Semester of Freshman Year after the committee receives a copy of first semester grades as well as verification of second semester registration.

Community Scholarships

Karin Anne Seckora Memorial Scholarship

Karin’s scholarship is open to any student who will be graduating from the Chippewa County 4-H Program this summer and will be attending a technical schools, college, or university in the fall of this year. All areas of study will be considered for review. A minimal grade point average of 2.25 is required to apply fo the $500 scholarship.

Applicants should be adventuresome, ambitious, loyal and fun loving. Applicants are also preferred to have a willingness to reach out to others in need, respect all forms of life, and show an avid interest in animals, plants, arts, crafts, music, and dance.

John & Isabelle Ames Memorial Scholarship

The John and Isabelle Ames Memorial Scholarship, a $750 award, was established in memory of John and Isabelle Ames of Ames-Way Holsteins in Darien, WI. This scholarship is offered to college sophomores and juniors with current or recent involvement in 4-H, FFA, or the registered Holstein Industry who are enrolled full-time and attending classes in-person while seeking a four-year degree in any field.
